Allan’s Infamous Name: "The Wisps of Straw"
Allan earned his notorious nickname, "Ailean-nan-Sop," or Allan of the Wisps of Straw, due to his ruthless approach to dealing with his enemies. Known for burning the homes of his foes, Allan would set fire to their roofs by propping up wisps of straw against the buildings. This method of destruction was both symbolic and practical: the wisp of straw, seemingly fragile, carried the destructive power to decimate entire households. It was a cruel but effective tactic in a time when warfare between clans was as much psychological as it was physical.
